Hays is partnering with a leading national provider of integrated support services to recruit an experienced Site Manager for a major Defence environment in Townsville. Operating within a complex, multi-service setting, our client is recognised for delivering essential services that support critical operations across Australia.
Your new role
As Site Manager, you will lead the day-to-day operations of a large and diverse site, overseeing services including hospitality, accommodation, cleaning, transport and facilities management. As the senior on-site leader, you will be responsible for driving operational performance, maintaining strong stakeholder relationships and ensuring services are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with contractual requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading and developing multidisciplinary operational teams
Managing service delivery across multiple streams
Building strong relationships with key client stakeholders
Monitoring budgets, reporting and performance against KPIs
Driving safety, compliance and continuous improvement initiatives
Ensuring adherence to site security protocols and regulatory requirements
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful, you will be an accomplished operational leader with experience managing complex service-based environments.
You will demonstrate:
Proven experience in operations, site, facilities or hospitality management
Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead diverse teams
Exceptional stakeholder engagement and relationship management capabilities
Sound commercial and financial acumen, including budget management experience
A proactive and solutions-focused approach
Experience within Defence, mining, resources, remote operations or large-scale service environments will be highly regarded
Australian Citizenship
The ability to obtain and maintain the required security clearances and police checks
