Commercial HVAC Projects | Darwin

Base Salary from $83,000 per year + Superannuation with overtime opportunities (based on experience) Permanent full-time – 40 ordinary hours per week

FRM Refrigeration & Air Conditioning is a 100% Territory-owned and operated market leader. Based in Darwin, we have been delivering large-scale commercial refrigeration, air conditioning and mechanical services since 2012. We manage major installation and infrastructure projects for national supermarkets, shopping centres, Defence establishments, schools, and government facilities throughout the Top End.

Due to continued growth, we are expanding our Projects Team and are seeking experienced Sheet Metal Workers for an immediate start.

The Role: What's on the Job Card?

We are looking for skilled tradespeople who take pride in quality workmanship and enjoy working on large-scale commercial projects. Reporting to the Duct Shop Manager, your responsibilities will include:

• Commercial Duct Installation: Installing sheet metal & flexible ductwork on major commercial and industrial projects.
• Fabrication & Manufacturing: Completing workshop and onsite fabrication of sheet metal ducting and associated components to specification.
• Measuring & fabricating: Measuring, marking out, cutting, shaping, forming, fitting and assembling Sheetmetal ductwork and associated components.
• Reading Plans & Drawings: Interpreting mechanical and architectural drawings to ensure accurate installation and fabrication.
• Project Delivery: Working safely and efficiently to meet project deadlines while maintaining high workmanship standards.
• Team Support: Assisting with other project and workshop tasks as directed by the Duct Shop Manager.

What You'll Bring

• Qualifications: Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade or comparable qualification.
• The Experience: Proven experience in duct installation, sheet metal fabrication and HVAC construction projects, with strong knowledge of fabrication techniques and the ability to read and interpret mechanical & architectural drawings.
• The Licences: Current White Card and a valid Australian or international Driver's Licence with the ability to drive a manual vehicle.
• The Work Ethic: Reliable, self-motivated, safety-focused and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• The Flexibility: Willingness to work in Darwin and travel to other locations within the Northern Territory when required.
