Join a well established international retail and consumer products business with a strong presence across the APAC region. Reporting directly to the CFO, this is a broad Senior Accountant position that will see you take ownership of statutory reporting, taxation, payroll accounting, financial analysis, cash flow management, audit coordination and month end reporting. This role offers the opportunity to partner with both local and global stakeholders while helping drive process improvements and strengthen financial controls across the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage all taxation reporting across Australia and New Zealand, including BAS, payroll tax, withholding tax and FBT returns

• Support the preparation of annual income tax reporting

• Own balance sheet reconciliations, investigating and resolving variances in a timely manner

• Manage payroll accounting across multiple legal entities

• Oversee intercompany transactions and cross charging activities

• Coordinate company insurance requirements

• Lead the finance function through external audits and internal business reviews

• Prepare annual statutory reporting, tax schedules, fixed asset reporting and lease accounting requirements

• Manage cash flow reporting and submissions to global head office

• Deliver monthly financial reporting, analysis and business insights

• Partner with offshore finance support teams to ensure operational efficiency

• Develop and improve finance processes, controls and standard operating procedures

• Support business projects and provide financial support across various departments

About You

• CA or CPA qualified

• Degree qualified in Accounting, Commerce or a related discipline

• Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar accounting position

• Strong understanding of accounting standards, GAAP and IFRS requirements

• Advanced Excel skills and strong systems capability

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

• Highly organised with strong attention to detail

• Experience within retail, consumer goods or a product based environment will be highly regarded
