Your new company
Hays Construction is partnering with a growing Gold Coast-based construction business specialising in remedial and structural repair projects across residential and commercial assets. Due to ongoing growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Estimator to join their team.

Your new role
Working closely with senior management, you will be responsible for preparing estimates and tender submissions across a diverse range of remedial construction projects. This role offers the opportunity to be involved in projects from initial tender through to handover.

Key responsibilities include

• Preparing accurate cost estimates and tender submissions
• Reviewing plans, specifications and scope documents
• Obtaining and assessing subcontractor and supplier quotations
• Conducting site inspections and attending pre-tender meetings
• Preparing project budgets and cost plans
• Identifying project risks and opportunities
• Liaising with clients, suppliers and key stakeholders

• Previous estimating experience within remedial, residential or commercial construction
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies and pricing
• Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• High level of attention to detail and commercial acumen
• Strong organisational and time management skills
