Medical Wards: 2J - Medical Assessment Unit (MAU)

2G - Respiratory Nursing

3F - General Medical and Surgical Short-Stay Unit

3J - Cardiology-Coronary Care Unit

Surgical Wards: 3A - Upper GI General Surgery

3B - Colorectal General Surgery

3C - Orthopaedics

Applicants may nominate up to three preferred clinical areas. Placement will be based on individual suitability, availability and service requirements.

Selection Criteria

We're interested in learning more about your experience, what motivates you as a nurse and the clinical areas that best align with your skills and career aspirations. Please respond to the following questions:

Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

What interests you in the wards you have chosen. What skills and experience do you bring to the roles.

Describe a time when you used clinical judgement and critical thinking to identify and respond to a patient's changing needs. What actions did you take and what was the outcome for the patient?

Provide an example of how you have worked collaboratively with patients, families-carers and the multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, compassionate and person-centred care. What was your contribution and what did you achieve?
