New opportunity: looking for Audiometry Nurse to work across WSLHD serving one of the most culturally diverse communities in NSW.
Employment Type: Permanent Full Time & Part Time (Minimum of 3 Days a Week) Position Classification: Registered Nurse Remuneration: $81,748.16 - $114,771.98 per annum - $41.22 - $57.88 per hour Hours Per Week: 38 (Job Share may be considered for part time hours) Located in: Mount Druitt, Parramatta and Auburn Community Health Centres
Where you'll be working Join Western Sydney Local Health District's Child and Family Health team, delivering essential hearing health services across Mount Druitt, Parramatta and Auburn Community Health Centres. Our dedicated team is committed to improving outcomes for children and families through early intervention, prevention and community-based care.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse looking to develop specialist audiometry expertise while building a rewarding career within Child and Family Health Nursing.
.Work within a supportive, multidisciplinary Child and Family Health team

What you'll be doing
.Contribute to the early identification of hearing concerns and support timely referral for early intervention, improving lifelong outcomes for children
.Work within a supportive, dynamic multidisciplinary team, collaborating closely with Child and Family Health Nurses, Audiologists, Allied Health, Community Paediatrics and other key partners
.Deliver child centred care to our culturally diverse community in WSLHD

Essential Criteria:
.Registration: Registered Nurse Division 1 with AHPRA
Selection Criteria:
1.Current Registration with the Australian health Practitioner Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered nurse with post-graduate qualification in Audiometry.
2.Demonstrated experience working with children 3-12 years including children with additional needs in a relevant health context.
3.Demonstrated understanding of hearing screening and assessments including hearing health history, and Otoscopy, pure tone audiometry and tympanometry.
4.Excellent communication and documentation skills, and well-developed computer skills, including use of electronic medical records systems and relevant other computer applications and software in a health setting.
5.Demonstrated ability to work with cultural sensitivity to liaise and consult collaboratively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and CALD populations and organisations in the local community.
6.Demonstrated ability to work both independently and within a collaborative team environment to achieve optimal health outcomes for the children and vulnerable communities.
7.Demonstrated understanding of the First 2000 days Framework and early intervention, population health and primary health care approaches.
8.Current NSW driver's licence and willing to use for work purposes.
