Project Manager

Job description

Reporting to the Director, Capital Programmes, you will be responsible for managing this large organisation’s current construction and refurbishment projects.

You will manage the overall project direction, control the co-ordination of the project throughout its life cycle and work closely with the senior staff to ensure strong communication & relationship links with all key stakeholders throughout the entire project duration.

You must have specialised project management (design and development management to delivery), consultant management, project finance and systems/contractual skills to ensure that these projects are delivered to budget and to plan.

The current portfolio includes the following high-priority projects:


•Early Learning Centre Upgrade and Refurbishment – construction

•Existing Building Substation Upgrade – construction

•Faculty Relocation Works – tender

•Large Technical Building– scoping and viability/Project Initiation Brief

Key requirements for the role are:


• Must understand the Client Side construction project process from funds approval through to delivery.


• Full comprehension of construction and consultant contracts and how to manage them appropriately.


• Superior stakeholder liaison skills including managing multiple clients per project.


• Ability to manage project management consultancies and stakeholders to a satisfactory conclusion.


• Experience with quality project management systems, including BIM and the ability to work within a diverse range of projects

For this initial 12 month Client-Side contract, you will bring an established background and extensive working knowledge of similar projects. In return, you will be paid, on an agency basis, at a rate of around $750–800/day + Super. The position has the definite potential to be extended due to workload and performance.

This is a great opening for an experienced Project Manager/Senior Project Manager, is based in Northwestern Sydney and is only open to candidates with full working rights in Australia.
