People and Culture Partner

Job description

Your new company

This is an exciting opportunity to join a respected Tasmanian organisation with a strong people focus and an ambitious people agenda. Operating in a dynamic and evolving environment, the organisation is committed to building capability, supporting leaders and driving positive people outcomes across the business.

Your new role

As a trusted advisor to leaders across the organisation, you will provide both strategic and operational HR support across the full employee lifecycle. Working in a true business partnering capacity, you will manage your own client group and provide expert guidance across employee and industrial relations, performance management, organisational change, workforce planning, coaching and capability development. The role also offers the opportunity to contribute to broader people initiatives focused on continuous improvement, leadership capability and organisational effectiveness.

This position would suit either an experienced Senior People & Culture Partner or an established Human Resources Business Partner with strong partnering experience who is ready to broaden their impact. The organisation is seeking someone who understands what effective business partnering looks like and can quickly build credibility with stakeholders while operating with a high level of autonomy.

What you'll need to succeed

You will be an experienced HR generalist with strong employee and industrial relations capability and a proven ability to influence and coach leaders through complex people matters. You'll bring a broad HR background spanning change management, performance management, learning and development, workforce planning and stakeholder engagement.

Success in this role will come from your ability to work independently, navigate ambiguity and remain resilient in a fast paced environment undergoing significant change. You will be comfortable challenging stakeholders when required, adapting to shifting priorities and contributing wherever needed to support team and business outcomes. A proactive mindset, strong commercial judgement and a genuine passion for building relationships will see you thrive in this position.

What you'll get in return

This is a highly visible opportunity to partner with senior leaders, influence people outcomes and contribute across both strategic and operational HR initiatives. You'll join a collaborative and supportive team, gain exposure to a broad range of people projects and have the opportunity to continue developing your career within a values driven organisation. Flexible working arrangements are available, including the option of a four day working week.
