Your new company
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Parking Station Attendant to join a local government organisation on a contract basis through to December 2026. Working within a close-knit operational team, you will play an important role in the day-to-day management of paid parking facilities while delivering a high standard of customer service.

This role would suit someone who enjoys working with the public, takes pride in providing excellent customer service, and is comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.

Your new role
As a Parking Station Attendant, you will be responsible for supporting the operation of multiple parking facilities and ensuring a positive experience for customers.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Providing frontline customer service and assistance to parking facility users
  • Conducting routine patrols and monitoring parking areas
  • Assisting customers with parking equipment and payment systems
  • Responding to enquiries and resolving issues professionally
  • Completing basic administrative and record-keeping tasks
  • Reporting maintenance, safety or operational concerns
  • Working both independently and collaboratively within a small team

This position offers a structured fortnightly roster with a mix of weekday day and afternoon/evening shifts. The base roster provides approximately 18–20 hours per week, with regular opportunities for additional shifts to cover leave and operational requirements. Hours may increase to up to 38 hours per week depending on operational needs.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
  • Previous experience working in parking operations, parking facilities or a similar operational environment
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Experience in a public-facing role
  • Good computer literacy and confidence using workplace systems
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
  • Professional presentation and a positive attitude
  • Local government experience will be highly regarded
  • A willingness to take on feedback and contribute to a positive team culture
