About the role

As a Medical Scientist, you'll play an important role in delivering a high-quality, multi-disciplinary pathology service to the Port Pirie community. Working within a close-knit and supportive regional healthcare network, you'll apply your scientific and technical knowledge across a diverse range of routine diagnostic testing, contributing to specimen investigation, analysis and accurate reporting. Regional practice offers the opportunity to build broad, hands-on experience across different patient groups and pathology disciplines, while developing your confidence and autonomy with the support of an experienced team. New graduates, and those set to graduate at the end of 2026, are strongly encouraged to apply.

About You

We're looking for a Medical Scientist who brings sound scientific knowledge, a commitment to quality and a collaborative approach to their work. You'll be someone who can work confidently within established procedures, take initiative when needed and contribute positively to a busy laboratory team.

Relevant pathology qualification meeting NPAAC requirements for a Medical Scientist

Scientific and technical skills to perform accurate, high-quality diagnostic testing

Strong teamwork, communication, organisation and time management skills

Initiative to identify issues, troubleshoot equipment and find practical solutions
