We're hiring for local workshop positions in Townsville for an immediate start. Your new company Our client is a well-established local company supporting industrial, engineering, and manufacturing operations across North Queensland. With a strong focus on safety, quality, and reliability, they partner with reputable clients to deliver consistent, high-quality outcomes in workshop and site environments. Your new role A well-established industrial operation is seeking qualified Mechanical Fitters for ongoing local workshop positions working Monday to Friday with occasional Saturday over time. These roles are offered on a labour hire basis, with a clear pathway to permanent employment for suitable candidates. Your duties include:

Conduct routine and preventative maintenance on plant, machinery and equipment Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out corrective repairs Operating and maintaining specialised equipment safely and efficiently Participating in workshop builds, site projects and shutdown activities.

What you'll need to succeed To be successful in this role, you will hold the relevant trade certificate and prior industry experience in the trade.

Mechanical Fitter trade qualification Working at heights and confined space tickets are highly desirable. Construction White Card
