About the Position Our client is seeking a Management Accountant with a relevant qualification and at least 3 years of experience in a similar role.

This role reports directly to the Finance Manager.

The typical job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

• Maintain the integrity and accuracy of the general ledger and all subsidiary accounting systems.
• Oversee the timely preparation and analysis of financial reports for internal management and stakeholders.
• Prepare month-end journal entries, review monthly financial performance, and analyse variances against budgets and forecasts.
• Manage balance sheet reconciliations and ensure the accuracy of key account balances on a monthly basis.
• Perform bank reconciliations and resolve all discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Coordinate the financial aspects of fleet management, including vehicle registrations, asset tracking, and related cost reporting.
• Assist the Financial Controller in developing detailed end-of-month management reports, including in-depth analysis of key operational areas such as maintenance, fuel consumption, labour costs, capital expenditure, and other divisional expenses.
• Support the Financial Controller in monitoring and improving the day-to-day financial performance of the business through regular performance reviews and recommendations.
• Prepare and present revenue reports and financial performance dashboards to support business decision-making.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial systems and internal controls to enhance operational efficiency and reporting accuracy.
• Conduct detailed analysis of operating costs and provide recommendations on cost optimisation and financial efficiency initiatives.
• Provide financial insights and advisory support on business operations, budgeting processes, and strategic planning matters to assist management in key decision-making.

Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements to be considered for the role:

• A bachelor’s degree
• A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide insights for decision-making.
• Solid understanding of budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis, and management reporting.
• Strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with others across finance and operational departments.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to changes in financial systems, reporting standards, and business requirements.
• Excellent communication skills to clearly present financial information and insights to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
• Positive attitude and proactive approach towards identifying cost-saving and efficiency improvement opportunities.
• Ability to handle high-pressure situations and meet strict reporting deadlines (monthly, quarterly, and year-end reporting cycles).
