Light Vehicle Mechanic / Automotive Technician

HRB Motors Pty Ltd is an automotive repair and maintenance business located in Newcastle, NSW. We provide professional vehicle servicing, mechanical repairs, diagnostics, and maintenance services for a wide range of vehicle makes and models.

We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Light Vehicle Mechanic / Automotive Technician to join our growing workshop team.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine vehicle servicing and scheduled maintenance.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults using professional diagnostic equipment.
• Repair and replace engines, transmissions, braking systems, steering, and suspension components.
• Conduct vehicle inspections and identify mechanical defects.
• Perform troubleshooting and fault-finding using automotive scan tools.
• Carry out repairs in accordance with manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
• Maintain accurate service and repair records.
• Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements.
• Work independently and collaboratively within the workshop.

Qualifications and Experience

• Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (AUR30620) or equivalent qualification.
• Relevant experience as a Light Vehicle Mechanic or Automotive Technician.
• Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills.
• Experience using modern automotive diagnostic scan tools.
• Ability to diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicle makes and models.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Valid Australian driver’s licence.
