Internal Audit - Consultant, Senior Consultant, Manger, Senior Manager & Senior Director Canberra | Melbourne | Permanent | Full-Time
About the Opportunity We are currently partnering with a highly regarded specialist consulting firm to identify Internal Audit professionals across Consultant, Senior Consultant and Senior Manager levels for opportunities in Canberra and Melbourne . These are genuine growth opportunities for professionals looking to build their careers within a specialist advisory environment, working across a diverse portfolio of clients and complex internal audit, risk and assurance engagements. We are particularly interested in the following profiles:

Consultants: 2+ opportunities, ideally with 1-2+ years' relevant experience
Senior Consultants: 2-3 opportunities, ideally with 3+ years' relevant experience
Senior Manager: 2+ opportunities, ideally with 8+ years' relevant experience

About the Roles Depending on your level of experience, you will be involved in delivering internal audit and assurance engagements from planning through to completion, working closely with clients and senior stakeholders to identify risks, assess controls and provide practical recommendations. Responsibilities may include:

Planning and delivering internal audit and assurance engagements Conducting risk assessments and reviewing governance, processes and internal controls Developing audit scopes, work programs, testing approaches and reports Performing control testing and identifying areas for improvement Preparing clear, commercially focused findings and recommendations Working directly with clients and senior stakeholders Supporting the development and delivery of risk and assurance solutions Contributing to business development, proposals and client relationships at more senior levels Coaching and mentoring junior team members at Senior Consultant and Senior Manager level

About You We are open to professionals at different stages of their internal audit and risk careers, with the strongest priority currently on Senior Consultant-level candidates . You may come from an internal audit, risk, assurance, governance, controls or professional services background and will ideally have experience working across multiple clients or complex organisational environments. Senior Consultant

3+ years' experience in internal audit, risk, assurance or a closely related discipline Strong understanding of internal controls, risk frameworks and audit methodologies Comfortable managing individual workstreams and engaging with clients Strong report writing and stakeholder management skills

Senior Manager

8+ years' experience across internal audit, risk, assurance or consulting Proven experience leading complex engagements and managing client relationships Strong commercial, leadership and business development capability Experience mentoring and developing consulting teams

Consultant

Ideally 1-2+ years' relevant experience Exposure to internal audit, risk, controls, assurance or consulting environments Strong analytical, communication and report-writing skills A genuine interest in developing a career within specialist risk and assurance consulting
