What you'll be doing
Preparing financial statements and income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships, and individuals Managing a portfolio of clients across a variety of industries Providing taxation advice and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation Preparing BAS, IAS, and FBT returns Assisting clients with business structuring, tax planning, and advisory matters Liaising directly with clients, the ATO, and other external stakeholders Reviewing client financial performance and identifying opportunities for improvement Supporting junior team members and contributing to a positive team culture
What you'll need to succeed
Previous experience within a public practice accounting environment Relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Commerce, or Finance CA or CPA qualification, or be working towards completion Strong knowledge of Australian taxation legislation and compliance requirements Experience preparing financial statements and tax returns for a broad client base Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills Excellent communication and client relationship management abilities Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, or similar systems
