Our client, OPS365 PTY LTD, is an Australian managed IT services company providing technology and operational support to businesses across Sydney and Australia. The company specialises in setting up and managing the IT systems that support day-to-day business operations, including reporting, rostering, point-of-sale systems, records, networks and related business applications. OPS365 provides carrier-grade IT operations designed for small and growing businesses, with a strong focus on system reliability, connectivity, automation, security and operational efficiency.

OPS365 delivers IT and network solutions across a range of industries, including restaurants, retail, automotive, creative and professional services, and cleaning and trades. Its services include network and IT support, Cisco router and Wi-Fi configuration, dual-WAN failover, reporting and live dashboards, revenue and till auditing, process automation, access controls, staff systems, multi-site standardisation, structured backups and cloud-based operational solutions.

OPS365 is currently seeking a skilled and motivated ICT Support Engineer to join its team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive technical support to clients, ensuring the reliable operation of their ICT systems, diagnosing and resolving technical issues, maintaining infrastructure and implementing technology solutions tailored to client business requirements.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum one year of experience in ICT support, systems support, network support or a similar technical role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide timely and effective technical support to clients, resolving hardware, software, network and system-related issues.
  • Test, identify and diagnose functionality errors, faults and performance issues across ICT systems and network infrastructure.
  • Monitor network connectivity, traffic, system performance and service availability to identify and resolve issues before they affect business operations.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of resilient network environments, including dual-WAN and automatic failover solutions.
  • Configure and maintain secure staff and guest networks, access controls, VPNs and other security measures to protect business systems and information.
  • Assist with the deployment, configuration and maintenance of cloud-based and on-premises systems supporting client operations.
  • Provide technical support for POS systems, business applications, reporting platforms, rostering systems and other operational software used by clients.
  • Work closely with clients to understand business and operational requirements and implement ICT solutions that improve reliability, efficiency and connectivity.
  • Assist with the integration and automation of business systems, including reporting, payroll, rostering, time tracking and other workflow applications.
  • Monitor system performance and recommend improvements to enhance reliability, availability, security and operational efficiency.
  • Support multi-site ICT environments by standardising network, POS, printer and related technology configurations across business locations.
  • Maintain structured documentation covering system configurations, network layouts, asset inventories, fault diagnosis, maintenance activities and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Conduct system checks, quality reviews and performance assessments and provide appropriate recommendations for corrective action and improvements.
  • Assist with backup, recovery and business continuity processes, including verification of recovery procedures where required.

Skills

You will need to possess the following skills and personal attributes:

  • Experience supporting clients and working within service level requirements and deadlines.
  • Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, connectivity and system performance issues efficiently.
  • Experience working with cloud platforms, business applications and network infrastructure.
  • Strong understanding of ICT security, access control and system protection practices.
  • Ability to work across diverse client environments and collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a practical and customer-focused approach.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
