Job description

Your new company
Join a leading Australian FMCG manufacturing business with a national footprint and a reputation built on quality, innovation and operational excellence. Employing thousands of people across multiple sites nationwide, this organisation continues to invest heavily in its people, culture and future growth. This is an opportunity to step into a highly visible People & Culture Business Partner role supporting key manufacturing operations across Melbourne. Working closely with operational leaders, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping culture, building leadership capability and driving people initiatives that directly influence business performance. If you're someone who enjoys being close to the action, partnering with leaders on the ground and making a genuine impact within a large operational workforce, this is the type of role where your contribution will be seen, valued and recognised.

Your new role
As a trusted advisor to operational and site leaders, you will support a diverse workforce across manufacturing, warehousing and distribution environments, helping leaders navigate both day to day people matters and broader business initiatives. This is a true business partnering role, offering a mix of strategic influence and hands on involvement.

Partnering with leaders to provide coaching, advice and practical HR solutions

Providing expert guidance across employee relations, investigations, performance management and workplace matters

Driving employee engagement, retention and culture initiatives

Supporting workforce planning, organisational change and capability development

Leading recruitment and onboarding activities for operational teams

Partnering with leaders to develop talent and succession plans

Interpreting Enterprise Agreements, Awards and employment legislation

Using workforce data and insights to identify trends and support business decisions

Contributing to People & Culture projects that enhance the employee experience and strengthen organisational capability

What you'll need to succeed
You'll be an approachable, commercially minded HR professional who enjoys building relationships and influencing leaders within fast paced operational environments.

5+ years' experience in a HR / P&C Business Partner or HR Generalist role

Previous experience within FMCG, manufacturing, logistics, supply chain or a similar blue collar environment

Strong experience managing employee relations matters, investigations and performance management processes

Sound knowledge of Enterprise Agreements, Awards and employment legislation

Experience partnering with operational leaders and large workforce populations

A passion for building leadership capability, employee engagement and a positive workplace culture

Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

A proactive, solutions focused approach and the ability to balance competing priorities

What you'll get in return
This role offers far more than day to day HR support. It provides the opportunity to be part of a nationally recognised business where People & Culture has a genuine seat at the table and where your work will have a direct impact on operational success

The opportunity to work for a leading national manufacturer with a strong growth agenda

Exposure to a broad range of employee relations, workforce planning, leadership and culture initiatives

Partnership with experienced senior leaders who value collaboration and continuous improvement

The chance to make a genuine impact within a large and dynamic workforce

A supportive, down to earth culture where people are encouraged to contribute ideas and drive change

A permanent role with long term career growth opportunities
