With a strong focus on spatial information systems and digital transformation, they are seeking an experienced GIS Analyst with deep Esri expertise to support and enhance their enterprise GIS environment.

Your new role

As the GIS Analyst – Esri Specialist, you will be responsible for the ongoing maintenance, administration, and optimisation of the organisation's GIS and land information systems. This role combines technical GIS analysis with hands-on Esri Enterprise and ArcGIS Server administration, ensuring the reliability, performance, and integrity of critical spatial datasets and applications.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Maintaining and updating the organisation's Land Information System (TechnologyOne Ci) to ensure accurate and current property and land records.
  • Managing cadastral data and a broad range of spatial datasets using Esri ArcMap and associated Esri technologies.
  • Administering and supporting ArcGIS Server/ArcGIS Enterprise environments, including service publishing, system monitoring, troubleshooting, and user access management.
  • Developing, maintaining, and enhancing GIS databases, feature classes, geodatabases, and dataset structures.
  • Performing spatial analysis, mapping, reporting, and data visualisation to support operational and strategic decision-making.
  • Ensuring data quality, integrity, and compliance with GIS standards and governance frameworks.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to integrate GIS data and applications across multiple business units.
  • Providing technical support, troubleshooting, and end-user training for GIS platforms and applications.
  • Participating in GIS projects, including spatial data collection, migration, system upgrades, and implementation initiatives.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve GIS processes, workflows, systems, and service delivery.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Demonstrated experience working with the Esri technology stack, including ArcMap, ArcGIS Desktop, and Enterprise Geodatabases.
  • Strong experience administering and supporting ArcGIS Server and/or ArcGIS Enterprise environments.
  • Advanced knowledge of spatial data management, feature classes, geodatabase design, dataset management, and GIS best practices.
  • Experience maintaining cadastral and property-related datasets within a corporate GIS environment.
  • Proven ability to perform spatial analysis, data validation, mapping, and reporting.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex GIS-related issues.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills with the ability to support both technical and non-technical users.
  • Experience supporting GIS integration with enterprise business systems and databases.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in GIS, Geospatial Science, Geography, Surveying, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

Highly Desirable

- Previous Local Government GIS experience.
- Exposure to or hands-on experience with VertiGIS Studio, VertiGIS Integrator, Geocortex Essentials, or related GIS web application platforms.
- Experience with TechnologyOne Ci or similar property and land information management systems.
- Knowledge of Portal for ArcGIS, web mapping applications, and enterprise GIS architecture.
- Experience supporting digital transformation, asset management, planning, infrastructure, or property management initiatives through GIS solutions.
