An established mining operation is developing a significant project in Central NSW, approximately three hours from Sydney. This site offers long term stability within a growing mining and exploration environment

Your New Role

As a Geologist, you will play a key role in supporting exploration, project development, and future mining activities. This is a hands on, site based Monday to Friday role focused on geological interpretation, data management, modelling, and drilling support.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Collecting, interpreting, and validating geological, geochemical, and drilling data
• Developing and maintaining 3D geological models and resource interpretations
• Supporting the design and execution of exploration and drilling programs (logging, sampling, mapping)
• Ensuring data quality control and database integrity for accurate reporting and resource estimation
• Preparing technical reports and documentation for internal stakeholders
• Assisting in identifying exploration targets and resource growth opportunities
• Contributing to a project transitioning from exploration into development and mining operations

Field based duties (where applicable):

• Core logging (lithology, structure, mineralisation)
• Drill program support, contractor coordination, and site supervision
• Geological mapping and field investigations
• Geochemical sampling and interpretation

What You’ll Need to Succeed

• Degree in Geology (Bachelor of Science – Honours preferred)
• Experience in mining or exploration geology (hard rock / minerals preferred)
• Exposure to metals highly regarded (candidates from coal must demonstrate transferable knowledge)
• Strong technical capability in geological interpretation and data analysis
• Good physical fitness and strong work ethic
• Current manual driver’s licence
• Ability to pass pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening
• First Aid certification (desirable)
