This is a locum doctor role for a General Practice Consultant at Cowra in NSW.

Qualifications/Experience
• Advanced Life Support Level 2 within the last 3 years

Duties
• Face-to-face clinical handover with day doctor for 30 minutes at the beginning and end of the shift in the Emergency Department.

• Provide medical care to inpatients, complete discharge summaries and review admitted patients as requested.

• Provide onsite medical care to patients presenting to the emergency department.

• Complete contemporaneous and comprehensive clinical documentation in eMR.

• Provide and lead clinical review, rapid response, trauma and cardiac arrest services across the facility

• Check pathology and radiology results in the ED results message centre ordered by any doctor, follow-up and document management plans for any results needed further action and review any patients returning for follow-up of results.

• Participate in the training and supervision of students, junior medical officers and registrars.

• Participate in clinical meetings as requested

• Provide clear management plan for patients being admitted with full medication reconciliation and documentation.

• Accept transfers in from other hospitals and document care plan and medications.

Travel including Hire Car Organised by Agency with approval from WNSWLHD via Locum Email ** Please note: Hire cars are difficult in obtaining after hours and on weekends, so it is preferable that all locums travel in standard business times where possible.
