Full-Time Solid Plasterers Multiple Roles offered

$90,000 - $100,000 a year plus superannuation

We are looking for experienced solid plasterers to join our growing team.

We are offering immediate start and full-time positions.

Your job tasks would be but not limited to:

• Calculating plasterboard measurements, marking board and positioning panel sections and cutting plasterboard according to plans.
• Securing plasterboard panels to walls and ceilings.
• Leveling and straightening corners, angles, and wall and ceiling surfaces.
• Cleaning and preparing surfaces by stapling wire-mesh frames to them, or by roughening them with mechanical hammers.
• Mixing and applying coats of plaster, cement, render or similar materials to walls and ceilings, levelling and smoothing them by using trowels.
• Applying finishing coats of plaster to give a smooth finish or decorative texture.
• Fixing precast cornices and panel mouldings, ceiling centres and other plaster fittings.
• Rendering exterior walls and moulds.
• Applying plaster or sealants over nail holes and joint crevices.
• Finishing underside of concrete floors with a mixture of cement and granite chips or blue metal.
• Protecting non-plastering surfaces with appropriate materials.
• Erecting scaffolding (subject to licence requirements in some states or territories) and trestles.
• Selecting the appropriate plastering materials for different sites.
• Consulting with other contractors to ensure project deadlines are met timeously.
• Fixing and repairing previous plastering work when necessary.
• Reporting any structural issues to the site foreman.

The perfect candidates must:
• Have at least 5 years of work experience
• Be able to sheet, set and cornice
• Be able to provide optimal substrates for painters
• Be able to estimate costs for potential projects
• Have the ability to work unsupervised using initiative
• Have all necessary trade tools
• Have valid OHS white card
• Good English verbal and written a must
• Relevant trade qualification is preferable, but not mandatory.
