Full-Time Diploma Qualified Early Childhood Educator Olsen Avenue Community Children’s Centre is looking for a passionate, caring and experienced Diploma Qualified Early Childhood Educator to join our team in a full-time position. We are a community-based, not-for-profit early childhood service committed to providing a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment where children, families and educators feel a genuine sense of belonging. About the Role We are seeking an educator who is passionate about early childhood education and understands the important responsibility we have in keeping children safe, supported, included and engaged in their learning. As a Diploma Qualified Educator, you will:
• Build warm, respectful and responsive relationships with children and families.
• Support the planning, implementation and evaluation of meaningful play-based learning experiences.
• Contribute to children's observations, documentation and individual planning cycles.
• Work collaboratively with your room team and the wider centre team.
• Maintain active and effective supervision at all times.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of child safety, child protection and mandatory reporting responsibilities.
• Follow the National Quality Framework, National Quality Standard, EYLF and our centre's policies and procedures.
• Contribute to critical reflection and our ongoing Quality Improvement Plan.
• Support inclusive practices and recognise the individual strengths, cultures, abilities and needs of every child.
• Communicate professionally and respectfully with children, families, colleagues and management.
• Be willing to take on leadership and Responsible Person responsibilities where appropriate. What We Are Looking For The successful applicant will have:
• An ACECQA-approved Diploma level qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care, or approved equivalent.
• A current Queensland Blue Card or relevant exemption.
• Current approved First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis training.
• Completed current Child Protection training/requirements applicable to early childhood education and care in Queensland.
• Completed Child Safe Foundations training.
• A strong understanding of mandatory reporting and child protection responsibilities.
• A sound understanding of the EYLF, National Quality Standard and National Regulations.
• Strong knowledge of supervision, health, safety and wellbeing requirements.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• The ability to work positively and collaboratively as part of a team.
• A professional, reliable and accountable approach to your role.
