LOCATION: In-person, near Altona Meadows, Melbourne DATE: 17 February 2027 to 21 May 2027 REMUNERATION: $55 per hour + 12% superannuation

ROLES: Fijian speakers with language teaching experience are invited to deliver a Fijian language course for adult learners. You will work full-time, Monday to Friday, 0800–1600 with a one-hour meal break.

DUTIES: -Deliver a Fijian language course based on existing materials -Adapt lesson plans, conduct assessments and other administrative duties

• Review and enhance existing course materials
• Create engaging online activities to consolidate learning

Essential Criteria

1. Fluent in Fijian.
2. University-educated, ideally in education or teaching
3. Minimum one year’s experience teaching/tutoring English or Fijian to adults
4. Sound knowledge of different approaches to language teaching (for Beginners or Advanced students)
5. Deep understanding of daily life and society of Fiji to support effective language teaching
6. Fluent in written and spoken English
7. Familiar in the use of IT in language delivery and course development.
8. Proven experience in course development
9. Experience in assessment management and marking
10. Experience in translation or interpreting is desirable
