Your new role

An exciting opportunity has become available for multiple Field Surveyors to support a major metropolitan-wide survey project. Working within a high-performing strategic planning and analytics team, you will be responsible for collecting and recording business, employment, and floor space data through site visits and inspections across the local government area.


You will engage directly with local businesses, gather information using approved survey methods, and accurately record findings using mobile data collection technology. Full training, support, and clear procedures will be provided.

What you'll need to succeed

Studying towards or recently completed a degree in Planning, Architecture, GIS, Geography, Property, Urban Studies or a related discipline
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Comfortable approaching businesses and engaging with stakeholders face-to-face
High level of attention to detail and data accuracy
Ability to follow procedures and work independently once trained
A basic understanding of floor plans, spatial data or the built environment is advantageous.
Competent using tablets and digital data collection tools
Availability to work in a field-based role across the local government area
