Company: M&J United Pty Ltd trading as CEMO Location: Chatswood NSW 2067 Employment Type: Full-time (approximately 38 hours per week) Salary: $79,423 – $85,000 per annum + superannuation
About CEMO
CEMO is a growing food business specializing in freshly prepared Korean-inspired food, including Gimbap, Kimchi Fried Rice, and Bulgogi. We are seeking a skilled, reliable and experienced Cook to join our team at our Chatswood location.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook and assemble menu items in accordance with recipes and quality standards.
- Prepare ingredients, sauces, fillings and other components for daily food production.
- Monitor food quality, portion control, presentation and consistency.
- Assist with menu development and improvements to recipes and food preparation processes.
- Maintain food safety, hygiene, cleaning and temperature control procedures.
- Ensure correct food storage, stock rotation and inventory management.
- Assist with ordering and monitoring ingredients and kitchen supplies.
- Minimise food waste and maintain efficient kitchen operations.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff and other team members during busy service periods.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised kitchen.
Requirements
- Relevant experience working as a Cook in a commercial kitchen.
- Strong food preparation and cooking skills.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene requirements.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good time management, communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to maintain consistent food quality in a busy environment.
- Availability to work flexible shifts, including weekends where required.
