Electricians & E&I Technicians | Multiple FIFO Mining Opportunities |
Hays Resources & Mining is partnering with several leading mining operations across Queensland and is currently seeking experienced Electricians, Underground Electricians and E&I Technicians for a range of ongoing opportunities.

Whether you're looking for a permanent role, labour hire opportunity, fixed plant maintenance position or a pathway into underground mining, we have multiple vacancies available across North Queensland. Current Opportunities Fixed Plant Electrician

FIFO Cairns or Townsville 2/2 roster $65/hr + Super Fixed plant maintenance environment Conveyors, crushers, screens, pumps and processing infrastructure

Site Electrician

FIFO Brisbane, Townsville or Cairns Permanent position $135,000 - $140,000 + Super 8/6 roster, days only Varied role across processing plant and site infrastructure

Underground Electrician

FIFO Brisbane or Townsville 7/7 or 8/6 rosters $72.50/hr Underground mining environment Great opportunity for industrial or fixed plant electricians looking to move underground UG Experience is not essential on job training is provided

Dual Trade E&I Technician

FIFO Brisbane or Townsville 8/6 roster $70/hr Process plant maintenance PLCs, instrumentation, HV systems and fault finding

What You'll Be Doing Depending on the role, duties may include:

Breakdown and preventative maintenance Fault finding and diagnostics Installation and commissioning work Fixed plant and processing maintenance PLC and instrumentation troubleshooting Underground electrical maintenance HV switchgear and motor control systems Maintaining electrical infrastructure and site services Ensuring all work is completed safely and to site standards

What You'll Need

Australian Electrical Trade Qualification Current Electrical Licence Current CPR/LVR Manual Driver's Licence Strong commitment to safety Mining, industrial, processing plant or heavy industry experience

Highly regarded:

Underground mining experience Instrumentation qualification PLC experience Hazardous area experience HV switching experience
