About the Opportunity
We are seeking passionate and dedicated Diploma-Qualified Early Childhood Educators to join a brand-new, purpose-built 57-place early learning and childcare centre located at Portland South. Opened in 2026, this state-of-the-art facility offers high-quality, accessible, and inclusive long day care and kindergarten programs.
Relocation Support: A relocation incentive of up to $10,000 is available for eligible candidates relocating more than 100km to take up this role.
Role Purpose
As a Diploma Educator, you will support the team in delivering high-quality early childhood education guided by evidence-informed, contemporary pedagogy. You will help create a positive, inclusive learning environment that facilitates rich interactions and supports children's social, emotional, and cognitive development. Building collaborative, respectful relationships with families, children, and colleagues is core to this role.
Key Responsibilities
High-Quality Practice: Coordinate a flourishing learning environment based on play and nature. Appropriately delegate tasks to team members to manage workloads efficiently and engage in regular reflective practice.
Educational Delivery: Plan, deliver, and coordinate integrated teaching and learning strategies tailored to each child's individual needs. Complete necessary learning documentation and maintain transparent communication with families.
Compliance & Child Safety: Maintain and model a deep understanding of National Quality Standards (NQS), the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework (VEYLDF), and National Regulations, keeping child safety at the forefront of daily practices.
Qualifications & Requirements
An ACECQA-approved Diploma level qualification (or evidence of actively working towards one).
Valid Employee Working with Children Check
Clear National Police Check
Current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis, and Asthma qualifications
Completion of Protecting Children - Mandatory Reporting online training
Food Handling Certificate and Safe Sleep Training (highly desirable)
GECKO Child Safety training
