Job description:

Under supervision and in accordance with Agency policy, legal, regulatory and funded program requirements, the Community Health Care Assistant provides a flexible range of in-home services that encourage independence and enhance the quality of life for the frail aged, and younger people with disabilities.

The Team

Campbell Town Health and Community Services:

Multipurpose facility with 24-hour emergency care, 6 sub-acute beds, 20 residential beds, Community Nursing, palliative care, same day infusion clinic.

Situated in the heart of Tasmania between Launceston and Hobart, within thriving heritage location of Campbell Town; a place renowned for its impressive selection of colonial buildings, masses of antique & specialty shops, all in the heart of the serene, unruffled waters of the Elizabeth River.

The Role

Working both autonomously and within the multidisciplinary team to provide patient care to community clients in line with NSQHS and AGED CARE standards.

It would be preferable that the successful applicant has:

• ability to work independently and as part of the multidisciplinary team

• previous experience providing care to support clients within their home

• willingness to learn new skills, take on challenges and help foster a positive work culture

Details of appointment

Fixed term, part time, day worker position, working 36 hours per fortnight, 20 August 2026 until 20 August 2027.

*Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary

$65,827 to $68,854 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Union Wages Agreement 2025
