POSITION DESCRIPTION

Title: Independent Child Care Cleaner

Position Summary: Responsible for the aesthetic presentation, upkeep and safety of the service and its facility. All equipment and products supplied.

Employment Type:? Part Time 15-20hrs per week.?

Award Classification: Children's Services 2010 (Support Worker). Level 1.1 – Level 3.1???

Hourly Rate: Above award agreed rate $34/hr.?

Weekly Hours:?

Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday 6pm – 8.30pm.

Thursday 5.30pm - 8.30pm.

Friday 5pm – 9.30pm

Flexibility is possible with the hours of work, but must adhere to the company’s needs and the duties listed to ensure the delivery of childcare is not hindered. Child Care is in operation from 7am – 6pm daily.

DUTIES

Grounds –

• Ensuring property is free from rubbish.
• Ensure walkways are clear and clean.

Equipment & Building –

• Ensuring equipment is in good repair and attending to its maintenance if a problem occurs immediately.
• Removal of nests, cobwebs ensuring walls of buildings and external air conditioner units are clean.
• Consulting with Directors and/or office management regarding pest control.
• Regular cleaning of internal air conditioners units in all rooms.
• Daily cleaning as per checklist of both care rooms & adult toilets
• Weekly office and staff room cleaning as per checklist

General -

• Purchasing items required in the course of your duties, with the consultation Directors or General Duties person.
• Empty and cleaning of vacuum cleaner, spray washer and any items used in the course of duties
• Cleaning and tidying of storage sheds, staff room cupboards & storerooms
• Cleaning of outdoor tables and chairs
• Completion of rotational cleaning jobs as per checklist, for example windows, fridges, carpet cleaning
• Other tasks, as they occur, as set out by fellow KCL staff and Directors

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

Education/Qualifications:

• Class C Drivers Licence. (LR licence or intent to obtain desirable)
• Working with Children Check Number
• National Police Check
• Child Safe Training

Experience:

• Cleaning
• Gardening and lawn care
• Experience relating directly to the duties as listed in this description.
