CHEF FULL-TIME POSITION

About Us Picnic Real Food Bar is a local food venue located on Tamborine Mountain, specialising in fresh, seasonal and thoughtfully prepared food using quality ingredients. All menu offerings are house-made including our cakes, pastries, condiments and sauces. We are committed to delivering high-quality meals with care.

The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced and passionate Chef to join our kitchen team on a full-time basis. The successful applicant will play an important role in preparing and producing high-quality food, while maintaining our standards of freshness, consistency and presentation.

Key Responsibilities -Prepare and cook meals according to menu specifications and quality standards -Assist with daily kitchen operations and food preparation -Maintain high standards of food presentation and portion control -Prepare fresh ingredients and house-made products, including pastries and cakes -Follow food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety requirements -Assist with stock management, ordering and kitchen organisation -Work collaboratively with the kitchen and front-of-house teams -Thursday's fresh produce market pick up weekly 6am Brisbane (use of company vehicle) must have open license -Availability for catering and dinner pop up events when required

Skills and Experience Required -Relevant commercial cookery qualifications - Certificate IV Commercial Cookery and Certificate IV in Patisserie, preferred -Previous experience working in pastry and service Chef positions in a professional kitchen environment, 3 yrs full-time min. -Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations -Ability to work independently and efficiently during busy service periods, and under pressure -Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality -Relevant Food Safety Supervisor Certificate -Ability to work a weekly roster Wed to Sun 7am - 3.30pm approximately, and public holidays when required. *NB with exception to Thurs 5am-1.30pm shift (includes Produce pick up)

Employment Details -Position: Chef (Full-Time) permanent -Location: Tamborine Mountain QLD 4272 -Salary: $80,000
