Chef – Multiple Positions Albion Hotel Casterton Employment Type: Full-time Location: 25 Henty St, Casterton, VIC 3311 $79,000-$82,000 per year plus superannuation About us: The Albion Hotel Casterton is a well-established hotel and hospitality venue located in Casterton, Western Victoria. The venue provides a range of food and beverage services to local residents, visitors and the surrounding community, with a focus on quality meals, fresh produce and consistent service. About the Role: We are seeking multiple experienced Chefs to join our kitchen team on a full-time basis. The successful candidates will be responsible for preparing and cooking a range of dishes in accordance with our menus and food quality standards, while working efficiently as part of the kitchen team. The role will also involve food preparation, maintaining kitchen hygiene and food safety standards, monitoring food quality and presentation, and assisting with the smooth operation of the kitchen during busy service periods. Key Responsibilities:
• Work alongside kitchen team to prepare and deliver meals for daily dining and hospitality services.
• Assist with menu updates and seasonal specials, taking into consideration local produce, customer preference and ingredient availability.
• Prepare and cook a range of dishes in accordance with the venue’s menus, recipes and presentation standards.
• Maintain consistent food quality, portion sizes and presentation across regular service and busy periods.
• Monitor food preparation, storage and handling practices to ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene requirements.
• Coordinate with other kitchen staff during service to ensure dishes are prepared and delivered efficiently and on time.
• Assist with stock management, including monitoring ingredient levels, receiving supplies and minimising food wastage.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe kitchen environment in accordance with workplace health and safety requirements.

Skills & Experience Required
• Minimum one year of full-time experience working as a Chef in a busy commercial kitchen environment.
• Relevant Trade Qualification: Diploma or equivalent in commercial cookery or related fields.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Passion for producing high-quality meals with a focus on regional produce. What We Offer:
