We are looking for 5 Care Services Assistants to work at our facility, Bolton Clarke Pioneers, located at Longreach QLD. These positions will be available from December 2026. You'll be supported in your role by a welcoming, experienced team along with training and development opportunities.

About the Role: Our Care Services Assistants provide assistance to our residents ensuring they are supported with services and activities that are centred around their wellbeing, independence, interests and choices. These include:
• Providing care aligned with each resident’s preferences, routines, nutritional needs, allergies and timing.
• Assistance with meal selection, personalised service, and mobility to/from dining areas.
• Encourage independence during meals and provide respectful prompting where needed.
• Engage socially with residents during meals to enhance emotional wellbeing.
• Observe & report any signs of distress or behavioural changes.
• Set up and maintain welcoming dining environments tailored to individual needs.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in all dining and food services areas.
• Assist with food preparation and stock control following food safety and company standards.
• Accurately update resident dietary information and complete required documentation.
• Adhere to all manual handling, infection control, and workplace health and safety procedures.

To be successful, you will have:
• Basic Food Safety Practices certificate – HLTFS7A, or willingness to obtain
• Food Handler certificate – HLTFS2-07C, or willingness to obtain
• Strong and clear verbal communication skills with the ability to engage with aged care residents
• Highly organised and efficient at multi-tasking with the ability to work independently and part of a multi-disciplinary team
• Basic computer literacy (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Basic manual handling knowledge and experience, or willingness to obtain
• Valid working rights in Australia (Passport, Birth Certificate etc)
• Police Check (valid within the last 3 years)
• Up-to-date flu vaccinations (or willingness to obtain)
• Evidence of Covid-19 vaccinations
• Experience in care role highly regarded
• NDIS Workers Screening Clearance or willingness to obtain (if applicable)
• Current First Aid Certificate (desirable)

Employment Details: Minimum Hours: 76 hours per fortnight Employment Classification: Care Stream Level1 under Bolton Clarke (QLD) Enterprise Agreement 2025
