Join the CALHN nursing team as an Assistant in Nursing and gain hands-on experience alongside Enrolled and Registered Nurses. You'll build your confidence, develop your clinical skills and make a meaningful difference for patients.
This casual pool is open only to Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander nursing students who meet the study requirements below.

About the Role
Working within your scope of practice, you'll support patient care and assist with nursing duties within your scope of practice.
Working as part of a supportive team, you'll learn on the job, care for people from diverse backgrounds and build relationships with patients, families and healthcare professionals.
Guidance and mentorship will help you grow your skills as you continue your studies.
Who can apply?To be eligible for this pool, you must:
Be a person of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent.
Be currently enrolled in an approved nursing program leading to registration as a Registered Nurse.
Have successfully completed and passed at least the first year of your nursing degree by your commencement date.
Hold current student registration with Ahpra.
Complete any training CALHN requires for safe and competent practice.
