Café Manager/Experienced Barista – Full Time Brooklyn Boy Bagels, Marrickville NSW We make real-deal, authentic New York bagels — kettle-boiled, hand-rolled, no shortcuts, no fakes. Now we need a Café Manager/Experienced Barista with the same "no cutting corners" attitude to run our Marrickville café and lead our crew. Availability we need: Mon, Thu, Fri, Sat, Sun What you'll bring: *Minimum 2 Year Barista Experience *Minimum 1 Year Café Management or Leadership Experience The Gig: This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who takes service seriously and treats customers like regulars from day one. You'll run the floor, train the team, and make sure every beverage and every bagel goes out with the same care we put into our dough. You'll need to work well under pressure, knowing where to be when. We also do events and/or rave days every few months so preparation is key. We want someone who can manage the great crew we have onboard who have each other's backs — good vibes behind the counter make for good vibes out front. You'll be responsible for: *Leading, training and motivating the team to deliver great service, every time *Rostering and keeping labour costs in check *Handling inventory, managing weekly and monthly stocktakes *Ordering, rotating and organising stock levels in house *Managing all things health and safety related, preparing weekly cleaning checklists *Organising training sessions with our incredible coffee supplier - Barrel One *Liaising with the ops manager/owner to update cafe procedures, machinery information and oversee recruitment across FOH and BOH *Bringing real barista skills and a genuine love of good coffee *Making sure every customer feels welcome, not just served *Handling any hiccups quickly and professionally *Building relationships with regulars — the kind who keep coming back What we're after: Someone with a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and the drive to build a team that supports each other and genuinely cares about the customer experience.
