Your new role

As the Business Technology Platform Owner, you will be responsible for the strategic governance, operational management, and ongoing optimisation of enterprise technology platforms. Acting as the key business representative and platform SME, you will ensure technology investments deliver measurable business value while maintaining compliance, security, and operational excellence.

You will own the end-to-end platform lifecycle, developing roadmaps, managing enhancements, driving adoption, and working closely with business, technology, architecture, security, and vendor partners to support organisational objectives.

Key responsibilities include:

• Owning platform strategy, governance, performance, and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Developing and maintaining platform roadmaps aligned to business priorities and transformation goals.

• Leading the identification, prioritisation, and delivery of platform enhancements and new capabilities.

• Managing platform performance, service levels, availability, and user adoption.

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure solutions meet business and operational requirements.

• Monitoring risks, compliance obligations, cybersecurity requirements, and platform dependencies.

• Supporting organisational change, adoption, and optimisation activities.

• Preparing executive reporting, insights, and performance metrics to support decision-making.

• Managing vendor relationships and ensuring value is realised from technology investments.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you will bring experience managing or owning enterprise technology platforms within large and complex environments.

You will have:

• 5+ years' experience in a Platform Owner, Platform Manager, Product Owner, Applications Manager, Business Systems Manager, or similar role.
• Experience with enterprise platforms such as SAP BTP, SAP Enterprise Service Management, Salesforce, Microsoft Power Platform, Oracle Cloud, or comparable technologies.
• Strong understanding of technology governance, platform lifecycle management, and strategic roadmap development.
• Demonstrated experience driving platform optimisation, enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence and communicate effectively with senior leaders and business stakeholders.
• Knowledge of risk management, compliance, cybersecurity, and service management practices.
• Experience supporting digital transformation, business improvement, and technology-enabled change programs.
• Strong business analysis and requirements management capability.
