They are currently seeking an experienced Business Support Officer to provide proactive administrative and coordination support to optimise the Manager's time and effectiveness.

Your new role

The Business Support Officer provides proactive administrative and coordination support to optimise the Manager's time and effectiveness. The role manages calendars, appointments, action tracking, and routine administrative tasks, reducing administrative burden and enabling greater focus on leadership, team engagement, stakeholder relationships, and operational outcomes.

  • Plan, coordinate and deliver efficient, proactive and reliable business support and administrative services.
  • Provide business support, advice and workflow coordination in accordance with Council policies, procedures, governance requirements and corporate systems.
  • Support business operations activities including diary and calendar management, correspondence, document preparation, event coordination, and financial, human resource and corporate processes.
  • Track, coordinate and follow-up business activities, priorities, correspondence and action items requiring section or manager attention to ensure completion within agreed timeframes.
  • Coordinate and support meetings and maintain workflow

What you'll need to succeed

  • Strong experience in business support or administrative roles
  • Effective experience with document and records management systems
  • High attention to detail, particularly when handling large data volumes
  • Ability to manage and organise large-scale documentation transfers
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Systems\
