Hays is currently working with one of the Federal Government's key cultural institutions that play a vital part of the Australian cultural landscape. The Capital Works team is currently seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join the team. Your new role
The (level 6) Assistant Project Manager will report to the Senior Project Manager supporting the delivery of key capital works projects to a high standard. Responsibilities include;

Support delivery of complex projects from the project delivery stage through to financial completion, ensuring adherence to time, budget and scope targets. Facilitate procurement activities as well as project, financial and contract management in a construction environment Assisting in contractor management, stakeholder management, budget management, reporting and project implementation. Support risk assessments including contingency management and risk mitigation Coordinate regular project reporting, draft business cases Monitor project budgets, review and report on expenditure

What you'll need to succeed

Demonstrated experience in all aspects of capital works project management A strong understanding of government procurement and budget processes is an advantage. Relevant Construction industry qualifications and tickets High-level written and verbal communication skills Demonstrate an ability to manage competing priorities whilst having high attention to detail
