Assistant In Nursing

About the role

As an Assistant in Nursing (AIN), you will work as part of a supportive healthcare team, assisting Registered and Enrolled Nurses to deliver high-quality, person-centred care in acute and aged care settings. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives while gaining valuable experience in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

Assist patients with activities of daily living, including toileting, bathing, showering, mobility and personal care. Support the nursing team by preparing patient rooms, gathering equipment and assisting with patient positioning and transfers. Provide allocated nursing care activities under the supervision and direction of a Registered Nurse. Document patient care, observations and responses accurately in clinical records and progress notes. Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure safe, compassionate and high-quality care is delivered to patients

What We’re Looking For:

Certificate III in Health Services Assistance (Acute Care) or one year completion of Undergraduate?Registered Nursing or Midwifery degree. Demonstrate a caring, compassionate and patient-focused approach to supporting people with their healthcare needs. Have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with patients, families and colleagues. Work effectively both independently under the direction of a Registered Nurse and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team Be committed to maintaining accurate clinical documentation and delivering safe, high-quality care. Adapt well to a fast-paced healthcare environment while demonstrating professionalism, accountability and a willingness to learn.
