Mintern Civil is seeking an experienced Architectural Draftsperson for an immediate start.

This is a full-time, ongoing position, working 38 hours per week, based in Horsham, Victoria.

Main duties

The Architectural Draftsperson will be responsible for:

Preparing detailed architectural drawings, including floor plans, elevations, sections and construction details, from architectural concepts, sketches and project specifications.
Using computer-aided design software to develop and update drawings, incorporating approved design changes and maintaining accurate drawing records.
Reviewing site measurements, building requirements and relevant standards to ensure drawings accurately reflect project conditions and design requirements.
Liaising with architects, project managers, engineers and construction teams to clarify design details, coordinate documentation and resolve drawing discrepancies.

Qualifications and experience

Applicants must possess:

A relevant Diploma, Advanced Diploma or Associate Degree in Building Design, Architectural Drafting or a closely related discipline.
At least two years of relevant full-time work experience as an Architectural Draftsperson.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit or equivalent architectural drafting software.
The ability to interpret architectural sketches, specifications and construction documentation.
Knowledge of relevant Australian building standards and construction practices.
Strong attention to detail, communication skills and the ability to meet project deadlines.
