Canex has an opportunity for 20 x Full Time Agricultural Technicians in Caboolture and surrounding Regions, Queensland

The roles can vary and you could be tasked with :

• Assist in livestock preparation and handling in line with welfare standards
• Support processing tasks
• Operate tools and equipment safely and effectively
• Maintain hygiene, quality, and safety standards at all times
• Carry out physical tasks such as lifting

For this exciting role you must have a good level of physical fitness, as you are often on your feet and active for the majority of your shift.

Requirements:

• Ready and able to work long shifts (10 hours a day)
• Be flexible in your approach to work
• A great attitude with your work
• Be neat in tidy
• Be able to work alone or part of a team.
• All training will be provided.

You will be required to work on average 38 hours per week.

The term of work will be from July 2026 to July 2027.

You will be paid either under the Pastoral Award 2020 [MA000035], the Horicultural Award [MA000028] and Meat Industry Award [MA000059]; Tey Food Services Pty Ltd Repair and Maintenance Department Enterprise Agreement 2011; Wadmin Pty Ltd Enterprise Agreement 2024 or Meramist Pty Ltd Enterprise Agreement 2024.

• The work will range in pay from an ordinary rate of Levels 1 to 4 = $24.28/hr up to $27+/hr
• Working hours will vary from anywhere from 6am to 11pm, 7 days per week.
• Overtime rates will be paid where applicable
• Upskilling & additional allowances may also be paid if you were trained in extra tasks.
