Accountant Location: Parramatta, Sydney NSW Industry: Business Services & Corporate Advisory (Accounting) Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent Salary: $75,000 – $85,000 per annum + Superannuation

About the Employer Tax Solutions New South Wales is a growing boutique accounting and advisory firm based in Parramatta. Since 2021, we have delivered high-quality, client-focused solutions across a wide range of accounting disciplines. We support small to medium-sized businesses and individuals with bookkeeping, taxation, business advisory, cash flow forecasting, and external CFO services. Our firm prides itself on accuracy, responsiveness, and personal service.

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Accountant to join our professional team and contribute to delivering expert financial guidance and compliance solutions to our expanding client base.

Key Responsibilities
• Preparation and lodgment of income tax returns, Business Activity Statements (BAS), and financial statements for individuals, partnerships, companies, and trusts
• Assisting with tax planning strategies, including GST, CGT, FBT, and Division 7A compliance
• Conducting bank reconciliations, payroll processing, accounts payable/receivable reviews, and end-of-month journals
• Liaising directly with clients to provide clear, practical advice and resolve technical queries
• Supporting the firm’s Principal with documentation and insights for management reporting and client briefings
• Assisting with external CFO support, including forecasting, budgeting, and financial performance analysis
• Collaborating with administrative staff and junior team members to ensure timely preparation and submission of financial documentation
• Ensuring accuracy and compliance with Australian Accounting Standards and ATO regulations

Skills & Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess:
• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline
• A minimum of 1–2 years’ experience in public practice accounting in Australia (essential)
• Sound knowledge of Australian taxation law, GST, and relevant reporting frameworks
• Demonstrated experience using accounting software platforms (e.g., Xero, MYOB, or QuickBooks)
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to interpret financial data
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a proactive, client-focused attitude
• Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and work both independently and within a small team
• Intention to pursue or current enrolment in CPA or CA qualification (desirable but not mandatory)
