Our client, Xtreme Trailers Pty Ltd, is a leading trailer manufacturer and supplier based in Western Sydney. The company specialises in the design, manufacture, customisation, servicing and repair of a wide range of trailers, including box trailers, tandem trailers, hydraulic tippers, tradesman trailers and other heavy-duty transport solutions. The business is committed to delivering high-quality Australian-made products that meet rigorous safety, durability and performance standards.

An exciting opportunity exists for a qualified and motivated Trailer Auto Electrician to join the growing team and contribute to the electrical assembly, installation, testing and maintenance of trailer electrical systems.

Requirements:

• AQF Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology or an equivalent qualification.

• Additional qualifications in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or related automotive trades will be highly regarded.

• At least one year of relevant post-qualification experience,

Key responsibilities are set out below:

• Install, assembly and test trailer electrical systems, wiring harnesses, lighting circuits and associated components.

• Install and configure LED lighting systems, marker lights, indicators, tail lights and trailer plug assemblies.

• Install, test and maintain electric braking systems, brake controllers and related electrical components.

• Install battery systems, battery chargers, auxiliary power systems and Anderson plug connections.

• Undertake electrical fit-outs for custom trailers, camper trailers and specialised trailer applications.

• Diagnose electrical faults using specialised testing and diagnostic equipment.

• Repair and replace defective wiring, connectors, switches, relays, fuses, lighting assemblies and other electrical components.

• Read and interpret wiring diagrams, technical drawings and electrical specifications.

• Conduct electrical inspections and quality assurance testing on completed trailers prior to delivery.

• Ensure all electrical work complies with Australian Standards, workplace procedures and safety requirements.

• Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, testing and maintenance activities.

• Assist with continuous improvement initiatives relating to trailer electrical systems and manufacturing processes.

Ideal candidate will have:

• Demonstrated experience in automotive, trailer, caravan, transport equipment or related electrical systems.

• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.

• Ability to interpret technical drawings and wiring schematics.

• Sound understanding of trailer electrical systems, electric braking systems and vehicle-trailer connectivity.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a manufacturing environment.
