Projects Lead - Major Mining Infrastructure Project
Perth Based | 5/2 or 4/3 Roster | Long-Term Opportunity PERSOL Australia is one of Australia's largest and longest-serving recruitment providers. Delivering both temporary and permanent recruitment solutions, we specialise in Engineering, Technical and Office Support talent across the resources sector. We are currently seeking an experienced Projects Lead to join a major mining operation and lead the development and delivery of a significant infrastructure project valued in excess of $60M. This is a client-side role working within a high-performing capital projects team, responsible for taking a major site infrastructure project from concept and studies through design, tendering, execution and operational handover. The Opportunity
Reporting directly to the Superintendent, you will provide leadership across project development, engineering management, governance and delivery assurance. Initially focused on studies, business case development and tender preparation, the role will transition into execution oversight and contractor governance as the project progresses. This position offers a rare opportunity to shape a major infrastructure asset from inception through to completion while working within an established owner's team environment. Key Responsibilities

Lead project delivery from concept development through to execution and handover Manage project scope, cost, schedule, risk and stakeholder requirements Coordinate and manage external engineering consultants, designers and specialist service providers Oversee feasibility studies, design development, procurement and tender activities Develop business cases, project execution strategies and governance documentation Manage contractor performance and ensure compliance with project objectives Provide project reporting, forecasting and progress updates to senior leadership Build and lead project resources required to support successful delivery Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and operational standards Drive successful project outcomes while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships

About You
To be successful, you will ideally possess:

Degree qualification in Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline Minimum 8+ years' experience delivering capital projects within mining or heavy industry Strong owner's team/client-side project delivery experience Proven experience delivering infrastructure, facilities, logistics, industrial or operational support projects Experience managing engineering consultants and study contractors Strong understanding of project governance, risk management and stage-gate delivery processes Experience managing EPC, EPCM, P&C or similar contractor delivery models Strong stakeholder engagement and leadership skills Experience using Primavera P6, MS Project and SAP highly regarded PMP, MBA or Chartered status advantageous
