We require 20 workers to assist live poultry pick up through chicken harvester.

There are 2 aspects of this job, Floor Walkers & Harvestor Loading:

FLOOR WALKER: Set up harvester in shed prior to pick up, adjust belts height, monitor chickens in shed, manual handlings of chickens following guidelines of Animal Welfare rules), open crates drawers when required, swipe harvester after pick- up and assist other floor walkers.

FLOOR WALKER AND HARVESTER Assist live poultry up through chicken harvester. loading crates, fill up crate's drawers based on number/weight of chicken. Work is done indoors which can become dark/dusty.

Successful applicants will work 120 hours over a 4 week period. Chickens are loaded into trucks overnight or early in the morning so shifts each day can start anywhere from from 6pm through to 3am from Sunday night through to Thursday night each week. Successful applicants will be paid under the Pastoral Award MA000035.

Applicants to be physical fit and willing to work with chickens under guidance. Own transport is desired. This work is due to Begin in late July 2026, and continue for the next nine months until April 2027.
