You’ll be joining a high-performing legal team in a busy and fast-paced practice, known for being collaborative, supportive and driven. The team prides itself on a strong culture of learning and development, offering opportunities to work closely with experienced lawyers and gain valuable exposure across a range of matters.

Your new role

An exciting short-term opportunity is available for an experienced Paralegal to join the team on an initial 10–12 week engagement, with a strong likelihood of extension.
In this role, you will work within a legal environment supporting lawyers with administrative and case-related processes. While you won’t be required to draft legal documents, you will play a critical role in ensuring matters progress efficiently through key administrative and procedural stages.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Managing and responding to a high volume of data requests
  • Maintaining accurate records, databases and case files
  • Supporting case workflow and administrative processes
  • Using business systems including Excel, Microsoft Office and Salesforce (or similar CRM systems)
  • Collaborating closely with legal team members and contributing to a busy, high-performing practice
This is a full time position that requires on-site presence in the Melbourne CBD office at least three days per week.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful, you will be a highly experienced Paralegal who is confident working in a legal environment and thrives in a fast-paced setting.
You will demonstrate:
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to quickly pick up new processes and systems
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset
  • A proactive, self-sufficient approach with the ability to work autonomously
  • Experience managing large volumes of information and data requests
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel); experience with Salesforce or case management systems (e.g. Case Foundations) is advantageous.
Legal qualifications are not essential but may be considered favourably.

What you'll get in return

  • Immediate start (from 15 June) with a well-regarded government team
  • Opportunity to work in a collaborative, supportive environment
  • Exposure to experienced lawyers and the chance to broaden your legal knowledge
  • A dynamic role within a hardworking and engaged team
  • Strong potential for contract extension
