Early Learning Center in Seaford 3198 Position Title: Full-time Early Childhood Teacher
Annual Salary: A$ 79,499 + Superannuation Introduction: A locally owned Early Learning Centre in South East Melbourne, is seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher to join their supportive and growing team. Their service is proudly rated Meeting National Quality Standard (NQS) under the National Quality Framework, reflecting their ongoing commitment to excellence in education and care. The Centre provides a safe, welcoming, and stimulating environment for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years. The daily program promotes holistic development through play based learning experiences, including arts and crafts, music and movement, storytelling, reading, games, and creative exploration. They are seeking an Early Childhood Teacher who is enthusiastic about fostering children’s learning, supporting their individual development, and contributing to a positive and collaborative team culture.
Duties:
• Design and implement intentional learning programs across indoor and outdoor environments, using a wide range of resources and materials to support children’s developmental outcomes.
• Create and facilitate engaging play-based experiences that promote the development of skills and cognitive growth.
• Support children’s language and communication development through one-on-one and group conversations.
• Monitor, document, and assess children’s learning, wellbeing, and development, identifying any early signs of health concerns, developmental delays and emotional needs.
• Maintain ongoing awareness of each child’s nutritional needs, and identify any barriers that may impact their participation or progress.
• Build and maintain strong, respectful relationships with families by regularly communicating children’s progress and development.
• Participate in parent teacher meetings, team discussions, and centre committee meetings
• Provide guidance and support to pre-service teachers and students undertaking placement within the service
Skills and Experience:
• Minimum a Graduate Diploma in Early childhood education
• A minimum of 1 year of experience as an Early Childhood Teacher is mandatory.
• Strong understanding of early childhood frameworks, including the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standard (NQS).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure.
• Strong problem solving skills and a positive team oriented attitude.
